Report Card Information
Not only is reporting on student progress a legal requirement, it is something teachers approach with a great deal of thought and consideration. As parents, should you have any questions about your child's report card or individual progress at any time, please do not hesitate to contact the teacher.
The 2011-2012 formal reporting dates are:
Wednesday, 7 December
Wednesday, 7 March
Thursday, 28 June
Teachers may also send home interim reports for those students of concern or request meetings with parents at any time. The dates for formal parent and teacher meetings are:
Wednesday, 19 and Thursday, 20 October - parent and teacher conferences
Wednesday, 1 February - student led conferences
For your information, as set out by the Ministry of Education, the assignment of letter grades are detailed here:
A The student demonstrates excellent or outstanding performance in relation to expected learning outcomes for the course or subject and grade.
B The student demonstrates very good performance in relation to expected learning outcomes for the course or subject and grade.
C+ The student demonstrates good performance in relation to expected learning outcomes for the course or subject and grade.
C The student demonstrates satisfactory performance in relation to expected learning outcomes for the course or subject and grade.
C- The student demonstrates minimally acceptable performance in relation to expected learning outcomes for the course or subject and grade.
I The student, for a variety of reasons, is not
demonstrating minimally acceptable performance in relation to the
expected learning outcomes.
